All our teak is reclaimed from buildings and houses that have been abandoned or destroyed for rebuilding. We salvage old architectural carvings as well as more humble items such as ploughs, weaving tables and rice beds and repurpose them into functional and contemporary pieces of furniture.

For example, our umpak bed is made from the bases of old pillars; our ‘plough’ bed is exactly that, a bed where the headboard and footboard are formed from old ploughs.

Having been seasoned through exposure to the environment after functioning for years in buildings the risk of wood cracking is minimal

We always fumigate the wood and ensure that it is structurally sound before building with it.
