Mikado has been one of Ethnicraft’s most recognisable designs for years. Its sculptural character is the result of a quest to find a balance between functionality and stability. Mikado’s legs interlock like a well-thought-out puzzle. The Mikado Dining Table is characterised by its striking base design, featuring intersecting wooden legs that form a dynamic and visually captivating arrangement reminiscent of the game "Mikado" (also known as pick-up sticks).
The Mikado Dining Table comes in various sizes to accommodate different dining needs and spaces. From compact round tables suitable for cozy dining areas to larger rectangular tables ideal for family gatherings or entertaining guests, there's a size option for every requirement.

THE DESIGNER
Alain van Havre brings a deep connection to natural materials and exceptional woodworking expertise. His designs blend timelessness with contemporary relevance, aiming to create forms that resonate with our natural environment. Over the past 20 years, Alain has played a pivotal role in influencing the Ethnicraft designs we know and love today.

This dining table is handcrafted from black-stained solid European oak. Mikado’s legs interlock like a well-thought-out puzzle. By exchanging the rectangular tabletop by an ellipse, we increase togetherness and connection. This table is a superb complement to any living area, known for its understated elegance and outstanding visual appeal. Finished with a hard-wearing clear satin lacquer finish which keeps it looking good and ensures easy maintenance. Flat-packed, assembly on delivery To protect the surface from heat and prevent marks and stains, always use a trivet or a coaster underneath hot plates, pans, or mugs. Use felt stoppers when you place decorative objects on the surface to prevent scratches or marks. Do not place sharp or jagged objects directly on the tabletop. Wipe with a soft, damp cloth; avoid the use of harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning materials.

A delivery fee applies to all purchases (per order, per location), inclusive of assembly & placement of free-standing items. Our delivery team operates from Tuesday to Saturday every week excluding Thursday and public holidays. Our delivery charges are $30 for all orders under $500 & $80 for all orders exceeding $500.
